Printable fanfics
A number of readers have emailed us asking us to repost the printable fanfics that used to be at Austen Interlude,* so we've put up a page with pdfs by several AI writers. These are typeset versions of stories elsewhere on AI which can be downloaded and printed out for ease of reading. The pdfs were made by the talented and generous Ellenjp.

New Blogs
We're playing around with blogs, and there are a couple more public blog (yeah, I know I could be writing but my muse has decided to blog for a while).
In addition to Abigail's Writing desk at http://austeninterlude.org/blogs/index.php/abigail/, I am working on a blog, So Odd a Mixture at http://austeninterlude.org/blogs/index.php/oddmixture/ and moved over from Wordpress. It's basically an odd mix of stuff.
We're also playing with a photoblog. The photoblog index (thumbnails of all of the pics) is at http://austeninterlude.org/blogs/index.php/photo/?disp=mediaidx.
Click on pics that you want to see. There are pics of Cape Cod and the salt marsh (for Pemberley by the Sea fans), but also pics of Switzerland, sunsets and my dog. ![]()
The blogs are definitely a work in progress....

We seem to be back...
Thanks to everyone for your patience while we were down. It started out as a hardware failure that wasn't so easy to solve, and then lunarpages decided to move the powersource for our server the same weekend. Lots of lunarpages customers were affected, not just us. It looks like we're ok now though.
AI is backed up at http://austeninterlude.pemberleyvariations.com (Abigail's other site). We will try to keep it up to date ... Abigail and I were furiously uploading stuff last night - so there may be a few wrinkles. Still, you should be able to access most of the stories. There is a tiny forum, http://pemberleyvariations.com/forum (The Writing Desk) for news about the site. You have to register to use the forum, as some of you know already.
You might want to bookmark the backup and forum for future reference. ![]()
Thanks again for your support!

Welcome to the beta version of the AI blogs!
We're trying something new at Austen Interlude. It's designed to provide a way for AI writers to connect to their readers and each other. It's still experimental, as we explore the different things we can do with this format, and we're open to suggestions. There's a central blog and then individual blogs. Any AI writer can have a blog here, though probably only a few will be interested, and the only one currently ready to be visited is mine (and that's not terribly ready, but there are a few posts). We're bringing on some new writers to AI, too, so you may one day discover blogs from them.
This central blog will be a place where any AI writer can post anything, from an announcement of a story being updated to a question for readers to a discussion of their writing process. It'll also contain brief announcements of updates to the individual writers' blogs so that you don't have to check them all to see if there's something new. We'll probably each use our individual blogs differently - anything from public betaing to ruminations to outtakes. We're hoping this will provide a good format for writing discussions. There will be some open blogs where anyone can read and comment, and some which will require registration to read. But this is your chance to tell us what you'd like to see here or at AI. Be creative - blogs for history questions? scheduled chats with writers? We don't promise to take all suggestions, but we'll give them all serious thought, except running a board - none of us are willing to take that on.
Guidelines, etc. : In keeping with Austen Interude's policy that a writer has complete control over their own story pages, each writer will have full control of their blog. Anything said in the blogs is strictly the view of the writer, and does not reflect the opinion or position of AI or anyone else who posts at AI. Blog writers have complete control over moderating comments to their own blogs. AI admins are not responsible for blog or comment contents.
We hope you'll like this new format and participate actively in it!
